Summerleaze Beach is just a two minute walk away. Enjoy a beautiful sandy beach and watersports such as surfing, paddle boarding and swimming in the Bude Sea Pool. Crooklets, Northcott, Sandymouth and Widemouth beaches are also in easy reach.

Bude has a wide range of pubs, bars, restaurants and take-aways within walking distance. You'll find local favourites The Brendon Arms and Falcon Hotel at the end of the road, and you can grab an ice cream from just across the canal.

Bude town has lots of great shops which stock everything from beach supplies, souvenirs, clothing and local produce.
Every Friday there's a farmers market by the canal opposite the cottage. Co-op, Morrisons and Sainsbury's are all a short drive away.

Woodbine Cottage leads to a number of great walks along the beach or along the cliffs (the SW Coast Path), which you can make as long or short as you like. You're also not far from Cornwall's iconic Camel Trail.
If cycling is more your thing, the surrounding area is perfect for road cycling - just be prepared for a hill or two!
